Palmer, MA
King’s Inn is the complete renovation of a 100-year-old, historic structure in the center of Palmer. The rehabilitation effort included raising and jacking the elevated floors approximately 16”, installation of fifteen new columns in the basement, and seismic repairs throughout the building.
The client, South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC), is a not-for-profit engaged in the development and arrangement of socially progressive housing and related services. This site includes 19 SRO units and common spaces as well as 4 retail stores at grade. The project was constructed for $1.03m in 6½ months.
