Holbrook Commons is a proposal for an empty parcel of land in Downtown Palmer, awarded by the Town along with the Palmer Redevelopment Authority. Submitted by the South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC), the project is an attempt to bring vitality and stability to a key piece of land in the center of town.

The project is conceived as a traditional-feeling structure with an arched retail arcade and gently sloping hip roofs. The material palette is brick red siding with deep green windows and shutters to blend with neighboring commercial buildings. Decorative “turrets” mark the Main Street corners of the building, and signal the facility from nearby areas of downtown Palmer. The project also has on-site management, accessible on-grade apartments and a community room.
