195 Commonwealth Avenue is an historic building located in Boston's Back Bay. It has brownstone and red brick facades facing Commonwealth Avenue, Exeter Street and a public alley. The project involves renovations to this 12-unit, occupied apartment building. The windows are being replaced with energy-efficient units that match the sash appearance of the existing windows, new wrought-iron balconies are being added, and brick and terra cotta are being repaired.

Fine Associates and the Owner received back Bay Architectural Commission approval for the exterior restoration program.
